Join ACME and friends for a ~60-mile gravel ride through the carriage roads of the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park. This will be a completely unsupported ride with only one water stop, so riders should come prepared for anything, ideally with a riding buddy. The terrain varies significantly from smooth gravel to asphalt to chunky rock gardens,  loose dirt, and grass. A 40-45mm gravel tire is suggested.  The climbs are steep, getting lost is inevitable and the views are beautiful... it will be fun!! All riders should plan to buy a $20 one-day pass for the Mohonk Preserve.

30 mile route: Don’t let the distance fool you! This route packs in plenty of climbing, with amazing views throughout Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska. 60 mile toute: The longer, 60 mile, route meanders through the Mohonk Preserve, Minnewaksa State Park, and the surrounding towns of Kerhonkson, Accord, and Alligerville. This route features 5,300 feet of climbing over 60 miles.  This route has approximately 40 miles of Gravel and 20 miles of paved roads. The route highlights include the spectacular views from Gertrude's Nose and a climb up the back roads up Mohonk Mountain.  This ride includes pavement, smooth gravel, rough gravel, loose gravel, grass, and dirt. There is a water/bathroom stop at the Minnewaska Visitors center at approximately mile 20.  There are some very difficult climbs on this route, maxing out at about 12%.  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39974317
